LMA is pleased to announce a new grant program for first-time attendees of the LMA Annual Conference: The Presidents' Gift
LMA's current president, immediate-past president and president-elect have come together to provide one, first-time attendee with a complimentary registration to LMA's 2014 Annual Conference in Orlando, Fla. (April 2-4, 2014) as well as either:
- Admittance to a pre-conference program of their choosing at the annual conference or
- Complimentary registration for the QuickStart Online Course
- This total package is worth nearly $2,000. (Note that the grant recipient is responsible for their own transportation, hotel and any incidental costs accrued, including additional in-room or conference activity costs.)
Submissions are due Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013. The selected grant recipient of the Presidents' Gift will be announced in January 2014.

Please download the Presidents' Gift application, which contains two short, straightforward sections: 1) basic professional information and 2) either your essay or a link to your YouTube video submission per the guidelines below. Note that if the grant recipient submits a video as part of the application, that video may be used publicly and at the conference.
Whether you choose to write an essay or create a video, all applicants must answer three of the four questions below:
- What influenced you to join the legal marketing and business development community?
- What is your proudest accomplishment to this day?
- What do you hope to take away from LMA's 2014 Annual Conferencee?
- As a future legal marketing leader, what area/s do you deem necessary for future success in this competitive marketplace?
Submissions will be assessed on:
- How you will apply conference learning to your workplace
- Demonstrated thoughts on how your attendance will contribute to the LMA community
