The LMA Capital Chapter is pleased to announce the 2014 Your Honor Awards program! The Your Honor Awards was established to recognize Capital Chapter members that illustrate excellence in marketing and business development strategies, and individuals who have made significant contributions to the Capital Chapter and the legal marketing industry between January 1, 2013 and May 31, 2014. An Awards Ceremony will occur Thursday, November 6th at McDermott Will & Emery LLP, The McDermott Building, 500 North Capitol Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20001.
The categories are:
Big Idea: How has your PR, advertising, technology or business development strategy raised the bar, and what can LMA Capital Chapter members learn from your success? What is a marketing or business development strategy or initiative your firm has put into action that has produced measurable results? The Big Idea award is presented to the chapter member(s) who has taken their marketing efforts to the next level and whose actions can provide solutions that will help motivate colleagues facing similar challenges.
Capital Engagement: How have you taken a charitable and community service program or a pro bono project and aligned it with the strategic marketing initiatives of your firm or practice? The Capital Engagement award is presented to the chapter members(s) whose program has made an impact of the Washington, D.C. capital community ad reflects the values and strategy of their firm.
Member of the Year: This award recognizes the contributions of a chapter member who has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to the growth and success of our chapter by furthering the goals of LMA during January 1, 2013 – May 31, 2014.
Hall of Fame: This award is given to an individual who has made significant contribution to the legal marketing industry, the Capital Chapter and its members, and has consistently demonstrated the highest levels of contribution and leadership. Capital Chapter members in good standing who have been actively involved in the Legal Marketing Association for a minimum of 10 years are eligible for consideration.
All LMA Capital Chapter members in good standing are eligible to submit nominations and are encouraged participate. LMA Capital Chapter members may nominate their firm for the Big Idea and Capital Engagement awards. For the Member of the Year and Hall of Fame awards, someone outside a member’s firm or company must make the nomination.

The deadline for nominations is Friday, September 19, 2014 at 5:00 PM EST.
Awards will be presented at the Your Honor Awards ceremony on November 6, 2014. Award nominees and winners may be given the opportunity to discuss key strategies and successes and share best practices during the Awards Ceremony.
