Fox Rothschild LLP is seeking a Business Development Specialist. This position contributes to a number of business development and marketing functions within the Marketing Department’s BD Team. Manages matter collection, proposal tracking, research projects, BD activities for assigned practices and writes marketing and pitch materials. Also provides substantive and administrative support for a variety of functions, including events and the client database.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinating collection and management of matter information.
- Providing BD and marketing support to assigned practice areas.
- Drafting executive summaries, cover letters and tailored materials for presentations and pitches. Contribute to formal RFPs as needed.
- Researching trade organizations and sponsorship opportunities.
- Managing long-term research projects.
- Collaborating with Communications Team to update collateral to reflect expanded skill sets, new matters and closed deals.
- Performs basic research via InterAction, the firm’s contacts database. Culls the database to report on potential and existing clients and other related contacts.
Requirements:
- Bachelors’ degree required, preferably in English, journalism, communications or related field.
- A minimum of three years of related work experience, preferably in the legal marketing or professional services industry.
- Exceptional writing skills. Ability to produce pristine deliverables, stay poised under pressure and effectively work with a broad range of internal and external clients and focus groups.
- Strong client orientation and work ethic.
- Professional standards of tact, discretion, positive attitude and appearance.
- Must be self-motivated, resourceful, creative, very detail oriented and reliable. Possess strong critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Exceptional oral and written communications skills. Strong customer service orientation.
- Impeccable proofreading skills. Strong attention to detail; high level of accuracy a must.
- Outstanding project management and organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task with a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems, analyze situations and suggest appropriate solutions.
- Experience with InterAction or similar CRM database strongly preferred.
- Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
