Tim HrasterMeet Tim W. Hraster, who will speak at LMA Ohio’s October 10 event “Stimulating Client Relationships”

Tim W. Hrastar runs his own consulting business, Tim W. Hraster Associates. He has over 40 years experience in communications and professional service marketing and has been an entrepreneur since 1976.  Since 1988 he has privately coached more than 1,600 professionals on their presentation skills.  Over the years he has published well over 200 articles on communication, presentation and business development topics.

Tim facilitates firm retreats and works with clients to develop strategic business, marketing and client relation plans. He has spoken at numerous in-house gatherings, association conferences (including the ABA National Conference) and meetings, and conducts dozens of CLE workshops throughout the year at metro bar associations in Ohio.

Tim has worked in interpersonal and organizational communications; advertising and marketing; as a producer, writer and director of audio visual, video, film and television productions; as well as a consultant in professional service marketing, presentation, client development and relationship management, and meeting planning.  

In addition to his full time consulting business, from 1997 to 2002, Tim was on the faculty at Miami University of Ohio, School of Business Administration, where he taught presentation, managerial, and communication skills to management seniors, and MBA students. In 1999 the MBA class named him one of the three outstanding faculty members of the MBA program.

  • B.A. [1968] and M.A. [1972] in Communications from University of Dayton

More About Tim:

  • Tim was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Signal Corp serving as a motion picture and television director with a tour of duty in Vietnam as a Photo Unit Commander.
  • His interests lie in reading and writing about history, politics and philosophy, with an emphasis on American history.
  • He co-authored a book on photographer William Preston Mayfield, and has had articles published in American Heritage magazine and Timeline, the magazine of the Ohio Historical Society.
