President's Letter
Happy New Year and hope everyone's 2016 is off to a good start! I would like to thank all the LMANE board members, committee chairs and committee volunteers who have worked tirelessly to make the transition into this year seamless and help bring our educational programs, special events, social media posts/communications, SIG events, community service and new member initiatives, to life. We had tremendous response to our Call for Volunteers email and are pleased to have new faces involved and making a difference in the LMANE community.
We are riding the momentum wave from 2015 a year in which we saw record-breaking increase in membership; and hosted our first ever joint program with the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS Boston) and the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP). The LMANE board looks ahead to 2016 which promises to be a year of evolution and growth as we join forces with the New York and Philadelphia Chapters to regionalize into the Northeast Region. For those attending the LMA National Conference in Austin on April 11-13, we will be hosting a joint cocktail reception with the New York and Philadelphia Chapters, so stay tuned for more information as plans take shape.
On January 20th we hosted our first LMANE lunch program featuring a fireside chat with Rebecca Marani and Matt Naffah both of Boston Interactive, who discussed best practices for launching a successful Content Marketing plan in 2016. Mark your calendar for our next lunch taking place on March 8th featuring Gretta Rusanow, head of Citi Private Banks Law Firm Advisory Group as she presents on The State of the Legal Market" and discusses key challenges and opportunities facing law firms in 2016.
Also in March, LMANE will continue the tradition of showcasing the top legal marketing projects across New England at our annual Your Honor Awards reception on March 23rd. This year we are proud to welcome LMA President, Keith Wewe, as our very special guest and YHA emcee. This is a unique opportunity to be recognized among our Associations best of the best across New England.
As you can see, all systems are go for a great year ahead and we are glad to have you along for the ride. Be sure to follow LMANE on social media for the latest chapter news and event details. I look forward to connecting at one of our many upcoming events and please do not hesitate to email me in the interim.
Cheers,
Katie Rutter 2016 LMANE Chapter President
