Although I am not an avid moviegoer, one of my favorite annual rituals is to curl up on the couch with a glass of bubbly and watch the Oscars. The glitz, the glamour, the infamous Red Carpet Report Card - all of the pomp and circumstance similar to the Super Bowl or the World Series. Each year, this single event marks a pinnacle in an individual's career and one where we salute the accomplishments of those who provide entertainment and an escape from our everyday lives.
The Capital Chapter recently hosted our second annual Your Honor Awards. Over the years, members of our Chapter have demonstrated their talent through innovation, creativity, and hard work. This year was no exception. The caliber of this year's submissions were top notch and our committee had tough decisions to make. Congratulations to this year's recipients of the Big Idea, Member of the Year, and those who have paved the way for our success as an organization - the inductees to the Capital Chapter Hall of Fame.
Let us raise a glass and toast this "Oscar"-winning group of individuals! We look forward to celebrating the many accomplishments of our Chapter and its members as 2011 comes to a close.
