A message from Jennifer Shankleton, 2014 LMAO membership chair
Fall is upon us and the holiday season is near — what an exciting and fulfilling year it has been with LMA.
We are proud to report that LMA Ohio membership is now more than 100 people strong, with noteworthy increases in both the Cincinnati and Akron/Canton markets. Welcome to all our new colleagues and friends — it has been a pleasure getting to know you in 2014.
We are thrilled that many of you were able to experience several of LMA Ohio’s signature programs this year. These annual sessions have contributed the LMA Ohio receiving the 2014 Outstanding Chapter Award — for the second time in three years. Our notable Outside the Industry/Outside the Box and Legal Practice Development Institute have consistently put Ohio on the map as a leading chapter in quality programming, not to mention our monthly events and programs, including the QuickStart webinar series in multiple markets.
What we do: Great programming is just the tip of the iceberg when you participate in the award-winning LMA Ohio chapter. Getting involved in your local LMA chapter provides stellar networking opportunities, knowledge and perspective-sharing with like-minded peers, a chance to develop leadership skills and volunteer in community-based activities.
Who we are: LMA Ohio’s profile is diverse, comprising several markets, including Akron/Canton, Cincinnati/Dayton, Cleveland, Columbus and Toledo. We’re proud of that footprint and the fact that our membership comprises marketers of all levels and positions, within firms of all sizes — not to mention our broad networking of legal industry service providers. Don’t think that because you are from a firm or company that is global, small, specialized, traditional, progressive, micro or metropolitan, LMA isn’t for you. It’s for all of us. Legal marketing is what binds us.
